SECURITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

At Mixes Lab, we recognize that safeguarding intellectual property is a cornerstone of a healthy global entertainment economy. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting your pre-release content in full alignment with the security benchmarks established by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) and the Trusted Partner Network (TPN).

1. Organizational Accountability & Confidentiality

Our security posture is built on a foundation of strict governance, ensuring that every project is handled with the utmost discretion and accountability.

  • Acceptable Use & Social Media: We enforce a strict Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) across our entire team. Personnel are strictly prohibited from sharing or discussing any information related to pre-release content, client relationships, or project activities on social media platforms, forums, or personal blogs without express written consent from the client.

  • Data Classification & Lifecycle: All client audio assets are classified securely according to data sensitivity. Data is rigorously managed throughout its lifecycle, ensuring secure handling from project ingestion to secure deletion upon project completion.

2. Remote Operations & Technical Security

As a modern, fully remote audio facility, we employ robust technical controls to protect your data outside of a traditional brick-and-mortar environment.

  • Access Control & Least Privilege: Access to digital environments, audio files, and project sessions is governed by strict Access Control Lists (ACLs) and the principle of least privilege. Only authorized personnel actively working on a project are granted access to the associated assets.

  • Secure File Transfer (Ingress/Egress): All content is received and delivered using secure, encrypted channels to protect against unauthorized interception.

  • Encrypted Backups: Business-critical data is protected with regular, encrypted backups to ensure business continuity and prevent data loss, with access to modify or delete these backups restricted strictly to authorized administrators.

3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning Governance

Mixes Lab takes a highly regulated, transparent approach to Artificial Intelligence. We maintain a strict inventory of all approved tools used within our content workflows.

  • Strict AI Prohibition: We do not use generative AI tools, public Large Language Models (LLMs), or third-party cloud machine learning services on client content. No client audio, stems, or session data will ever be used to train or fine-tune AI models without explicit, written client approval.

  • Approved Tooling Exemption (iZotope RX): The sole exception to our AI restriction is the use of industry-standard, locally-hosted AI-assisted Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software, specifically iZotope RX, which is essential for professional audio restoration and post-production. This software operates entirely on secure local workstations and does not harvest, share, or transmit client data or audio files to external servers.

  • Shadow AI Prevention: We actively identify and block any unauthorized ("shadow") AI tool usage across our remote infrastructure.

4. Incident Response & Transparency

  • Continuous Monitoring: We employ remote monitoring strategies to detect unauthorized access, anomalies, or system disruptions.

  • Rapid Incident Notification: In the unlikely event of a confirmed or suspected security incident, data breach, or unauthorized modification to content assets, Mixes Lab is committed to full transparency. We maintain an incident response plan and will notify affected clients within 24 hours of discovery.
